Recovery Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator who can assess and engage with our service users, ensuring they access the right intervention at the right time in a way that best meets their needs.

Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week |
Contract type: Permanent |
Salary: £27,861.26 – £32,002.35 (pro‑rated for part time)
- Support service users from entry into the service through their treatment and recovery journey
- Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral
- Reduce drug and alcohol‑related harm to service users and the wider community
- Promote carer, user and community involvement
- Advocate for access to partnership services
- Help users to support social (re) integration and lead meaningful, purposeful lives by promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self‑determination
- Research, design and prepare subject‑matter and materials for groups/pods
- Deliver structured content within group settings to users at various stages of recovery
- Engage in debriefing and evaluation with co‑facilitators after groups/pods, reviewing progress and identifying concerns
- Tailor specific workshops to user needs such as anger management, sleep disorders, relationships, etc.
- Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience working in a similar field
- Experience working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behaviour
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with good IT skills
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time‑management and prioritising skills
- Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services and best practice
- Supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to partner with a wide range of professionals, agencies and stakeholders
- Ability to manage change successfully, prioritising the needs of service users
- Understanding of information governance processes and commitment to follow all necessary safeguards
- Seek out learning opportunities to improve professional knowledge and contribute to the learning and development of others
