As a Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you'll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. You will lead a team of care staff, including training, supervision and delegating duties on shift. You will support with the administering and ordering of medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessment, and liaising with GP's, district nursing teams and resident family members.

You will respect the dignity and preferences of our residents and help create an environment that's warm, welcoming and vibrant.

The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care. You will have previous experience in a residential care setting along with proven team leadership skills and the ability to make appropriate decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of our residents. We're looking for people who are warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to giving each resident individualised care and support.

You will have the opportunity to develop your career through ongoing training opportunities, with many Senior Carer Assistants progressing into Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads or nursing pathways.
