Salary: From £38,212 - £58,945 depending on skills and experience and working hours - Car Allowance, plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

What will I be doing in this role?

We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Highways Electrical team in the South. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the commercial management of a large scale LED upgrade scheme.

Typical day

• Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets and forecasts
• Support tendering processes, subcontractor procurement, and contract negotiation
• Administer contracts in line with NEC frameworks
• Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and opportunities
• Prepare valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
• Provide clear, accurate financial reports and updates to internal and external stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with operational teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and profitably

What do I need to be successful in the role?

• Experience in a Quantity Surveyor or similar commercial role, ideally within the highways, utilities, or electrical contracting sectors
• Working knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management best practice
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration
• Degree‑level qualification (or equivalent experience) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline
• A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel within the South region
