Job Role Our home, Davyhulmein Urmston, Manchester is one of our new purpose built, state of the art residential homesin South Manchester supporting 5adults with autism and learning disabilities to be independent and achieve their own individual outcomes. As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager of the home to achieve the highest standards of care. You must be confident in managing the day-to-day operation of the home as you will be someone your team looks to for support and leadership to help deliver positive outcomes for the adults in your care.
You will develop strong relationships with the Bright Futures Team and the people we support to ensure the best possible outcomes. Responsibilities Support with day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements and organisational policies. Lead, supervise, and champion the support team, promoting a positive and person-centred culture that meets the needs of the people we support Oversee the delivery of personalised care plans Conduct audits and quality checks with a strong focus on continuously improving the team and the home Liaise with families, the wider community and external stakeholders, advocating for the people we support and maintaining strong collaborative relationships.
Take charge of the service in the absence of the Registered Manager, ensuring continuity of care, decision-making, and leadership. Support emotional and behavioural needs using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). What were looking for The ideal candidate must have the following:
Level 2 Adult Care Worker Qualification or equivalent. At least 2 years operational experience in a senior care role Previous mentor, Team Lead or supervisory experience A full UK driving licence is essential Be committed to continuous improvement of the home and the team A passion for person-centred care Resilience, positivity and a proactive mindset A Level 3 qualification in social care is desirable but not essential.
