The Material Handler’s main responsibility is to effectively control the tracking, storage and issuance of materials to the production lines. Also responsible for assisting in development of work instructions, assisting in special projects, and supporting other departments as needed. Safely performs all job functions and utilizes proactive safety concepts, while contributing to a continuous improvement environment.

• Effectively controls the tracking, storage and issuance of materials to the production lines and assisting shipping/receiving areas including, but not limited to:
  • Proactively supports lines with materials for all aspects of production and packaging.
  • Ensures proper inventory of production materials and finished goods to support scheduled orders in a Pull Manufacturing environment.
  • Monitors and maintains receiving/shipping areas by timely warehousing newly received items and properly staging outgoing product. Assist in shipments and receipts as needed.
  • Monitors and assists in packaging materials for shipment in the most effective manner.
  • Inventories packaging materials.
  • Monitors and maintains FIFO.
  • Supports routine cycle counts and other inventory functions.
  • Ensures consistent company wide materials programs are implemented and adhered to.
