Job Summary:
The candidate will be responsible for providing legal support to the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, reviewing contracts, managing legal documentation, and assisting in risk mitigation strategies. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to address legal issues in an IT service industry environment .
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Advisory:
Provide legal guidance on corporate, commercial, and employment matters.
Contract Management:
Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements, including NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, vendor contracts, and client agreements with Indian and International clients.
Ensure all contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
Ensure adoption of Best industry practices
Compliance and Regulatory Support:
Monitor compliance with applicable laws, industry regulations, and internal policies.
Assist in implementing legal frameworks for data privacy (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and IT-related regulations.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate potential legal risks by providing strategic advice to stakeholders.
Support in the resolution of disputes, including pre-litigation matters.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of legal documents and proceedings.
Draft legal memos, opinions, and summaries for senior management.
Liaison with External Counsel:
Coordinate with external legal advisors, when necessary, on specialized matters.
General Support:
Assist in legal due diligence processes, audits, and statutory filings.
Address intellectual property-related matters, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) is mandatory; a Master’s in Law (LLM) is a plus.
Certifications in Corporate Law, Intellectual Property, Compliance, Data Privacy is preferred.
Experience:
10+years of experience in legal roles, necessarily in IT services / corporate legal teams.
Key
Skills:
Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate law with specific emphasis to IT-related functions.
Familiarity with data privacy laws like GDPR, CCPA, and IT Act.
Excellent drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills.
Ability to analyze legal risks and provide practical solutions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in legal research tools and MS Office.
