Creative Services Manager

Newton is looking for a Creative Services Manager to develop and steer creative services across our markets and internal engagement activities. This role partners with business leadership to design and deliver creative services that support growth. It’s an exciting opportunity for someone adept at building strong internal and external relationships, with a track record of delivering impactful creative services in agency or B2B environments focused on high‑value sales and complex propositions.

pay range

We offer a highly competitive salary of £55,000 – £70,000, complemented by a generous benefits package including life assurance, income protection, pension contributions, 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays), profit share, equity schemes, and a full social calendar.

Responsibilities
  • Accountability for all creative briefs to ensure they are delivered in a compelling, strategically aligned, fit‑for‑purpose way.
  • Manage and evolve Newton’s brand guidelines and creative system to support growth and market engagement.
  • Oversee Newton’s creative agency panel by selecting and collaborating with preferred partners, coordinating training, and ensuring third‑party work meets industry standards and commercial goals.
  • Track and allocate creative resources efficiently, monitor team workload and priorities, and hold regular team check‑ins and status meetings.
  • Share timely and clear updates and decisions to maintain alignment between stakeholders and the Central Marketing and Brand team.
  • Oversee planning and execution of multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timelines are followed and risks identified early.
  • Coordinate with external agencies, freelancers, and suppliers to optimise agency capacity and maintain consistent creative output.
  • Supervise production logistics, including print management, digital delivery, and quality control.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on project feasibility within budget limitations, including recommendations for outsourcing when internal resources are fully utilised. Assist with budget tracking, procurement, and cost estimation for creative services.
  • Establish and maintain processes and tools that enhance workflow and collaboration, continually identifying opportunities to enhance creative services for Newton.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a senior Studio Manager, Creative Operations Manager, or Project Manager role within a fast‑paced creative environment.
  • Background in managing agency teams across design, content, production, or brand.
  • Experience with B2B environments is highly desirable.
  • Able to inspire others to express the Newton brand story in a creative and imaginative way.
  • Strong appreciation for the creative process, including design, production, and asset delivery, with familiarity with creative workflows (print, digital, video, animation).
  • Outstanding organisational abilities and project management expertise to meet tight deadlines, adept at juggling multiple priorities with composure and assurance.
  • Effective communicator and team player, ensuring both creative and non‑creative colleagues are kept informed and aligned throughout projects; experience working with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Strongly process‑oriented, continually seeking to refine and enhance workflows across teams and systems for maximum efficiency.
  • Proactive problem‑solver, foreseeing challenges, addressing obstacles promptly, and delivering solutions with minimal disruption to progress.
  • Demonstrates commercial awareness, including understanding project budgets, creative resourcing models, and cost implications of decisions.
  • Able to build relationships with senior leadership teams, instil confidence, and constructively challenge established working methods.
  • Applies strategic and innovative thinking with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Possesses strong organisational and project leadership skills.
  • Takes responsibility for leadership and acts as a role model while supporting the development of others.
  • Proficient in project and resourcing tools.
