Despatch Operative

Overview

Great opportunity for a Despatch Operative at a world leading high‑tech manufacturing client based in the Abingdon area. The role involves assisting with internal movement and packing of electronic capital equipment and spares for export, supporting the despatch and stores team and liaising with production cross‑functional teams to ensure all parts and components are present and suitably ready for packing.

• Assist with internal movement and packing of electronic capital equipment and spares for export.
• Support the despatch and stores team.
• Liaise with production cross‑functional teams to ensure all parts and components are present and suitably ready for packing.

• Previous experience of working in a packing department responsible for packing engineered, high value, large goods.
• Experience working in a stores or warehouse role within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite desirable but not essential.
• Understand business objectives.
• Manual handling, forklift driving experience desirable, training provided.

• Working hours Mon‑Thurs 8am‑4:30pm, Friday 8am‑1pm (37 hours per week).
