Overview

A leading, national main contractor that delivers multi-million pound public residential and commercial projects has a great opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join them on a permanent basis, based from their offices in Farnborough, Hampshire.

The company delivers projects in residential, education, leisure, health, retail, hotels, offices, as well as national frameworks for Government and Local Authorities. They have been established for many years and are recognised as one of the most reputable main contractors in the industry.

Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 + package

They are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to lead financial tenders from the initial cost plan stage through to final negotiations. The Senior Estimator will need to be experienced with two-stage tendering, be very strong on cost planning and have a strong track record working on residential projects for a reputable main contractor or developer.

• Lead financial tenders from initial cost plan to final negotiations
• Detailed Cost Plans
• Collating and preparing KPIs and benchmarking to assist in cost plan preparation
• Preparation of Bills of Quantities
• Preparation of house / flat type schedules / Bo Qs
• Assist with coordination on specialist subcontract procurement packages
• Prepare and tender packaged and procure items of work in preparation of cost plans
• Establish and maintain a library of cost data
• Investigate the suitability and price of new products / methods and undertake cost comparisons
• Liaise with all departments to ensure data and build knowledge is utilised within the cost plans

• Ideally Degree qualified or other professional body membership
• Strong track record working for a reputable main contractor or developer
• Good understanding of the residential house building sector is essential
• Strong commitment to achieving deadlines
• Positive attitude towards teamwork
• Able to commute to North London
• Full UK driving license
