Role OverviewWe are looking for a proactive and organised Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of construction projects from planning through to completion. The ideal candidate will be highly driven, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment. You will assist the Project Manager with coordinating site activities, managing documentation, communicating with stakeholders, and helping ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with day‑to‑day management of construction projects across multiple Buildtonic locations
- Support the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and monitoring project timelines
- Conduct site visits and help oversee on‑site works, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including reports, schedules, and site records
- Communicate updates with clients and stakeholders to ensure expectations are met
- Support procurement of materials and ensure timely delivery to site
- Assist with quality control, snagging, and project handover processes
- Identify and report project risks, delays, or issues to the Project Manager
- Experience in construction, site coordination, or project support (preferred)
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with clients and contractors
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
- Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- A proactive, hands‑on attitude and willingness to learn
