Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and organised Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of construction projects from planning through to completion. The ideal candidate will be highly driven, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment. You will assist the Project Manager with coordinating site activities, managing documentation, communicating with stakeholders, and helping ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with day‑to‑day management of construction projects across multiple Buildtonic locations
  • Support the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and monitoring project timelines
  • Conduct site visits and help oversee on‑site works, ensuring compliance with safety standards
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including reports, schedules, and site records
  • Communicate updates with clients and stakeholders to ensure expectations are met
  • Support procurement of materials and ensure timely delivery to site
  • Assist with quality control, snagging, and project handover processes
  • Identify and report project risks, delays, or issues to the Project Manager
Requirements
  • Experience in construction, site coordination, or project support (preferred)
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with clients and contractors
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
  • A proactive, hands‑on attitude and willingness to learn
