FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR - MATERNITY COVER CONTRACT
We are on the hunt for a talented and experienced Finance Administrator to join our client's friendly Finance team on a full-time maternity cover contract for up to 1 year.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a varied, hands-on Finance Administrator role within a supportive business where you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth, accurate financial operations.
Salary c. 35K Full time equivalent and depending on experience
Hours 7.30am-4.30pm Monday to Friday

Key responsibilities for the Finance Administrator will include,

  • Managing bank transactions, customer receipts, and ad-hoc supplier payments
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations
  • Handling Pro-Forma invoicing - creating accounts, raising invoices, tracking payments and liaising with Project Managers
  • Raising invoices and applications for payment
  • Uploading documentation to customer web portals
  • Owning the Accounts inbox and responding accordingly
  • Assisting with Credit Control, including automated chasing for retention sums
  • Processing purchase ledger invoices, staff expenses, and subcontractor invoices
  • Investigating invoice queries with the Projects team
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Maintaining tidy and accurate reports
  • Supporting month-end preparation
  • Updating daily cashflow schedules

The ideal Finance Administrator will need,

  • Be available to start mid January 2026 and willing to commit to up to 12 months
  • Have previous Finance Administration experience - responsible for day-to-day transactional duties
  • Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident working with financial systems and spreadsheets - full-training on in-house system
  • Have great communication skills and enjoy interacting with various teams
  • Have a proactive, professional approach with an eagerness to take ownership of your work
