Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Care Assistant to join our team at HMP Oakwood, a category C men’s prison located in Staffordshire.
HoursThe site currently offers 5 hours per day. Weekdays: 7am – 12pm. Weekends: 7:30am – 12:30pm.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Job responsibilities- Support the registered nurse in supporting patients with personal care.
- Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications required- NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care.
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
- Good IT skills and IT literacy.
- Ability to work within a busy environment.
- Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures.
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
