Electrical Engineer

Full‑time and permanent

Monday‑Friday 08:00am–16:00pm

£45,000 per annum

• May from time to get involved with project work to get equipment back up to standard which would assist in helping production performance figures.
• Electrical fault‑finding skills on Baggers, Multi‑Head Weighers, and general packaging machinery would be an advantage.
• PLC fault finding and programming issues.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Pat testing.
• Respond rapidly to machinery breakdowns, diagnose the problems and perform repairs or report back to engineering team leader if external specialists are required.
• Adhere to health & safety guidelines and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Cable management, new installations when required, services.

• Site services experience, 240v 415v.
• Qualifications to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent ONC) Electrical, BTEC Level 3 in Electrical/Electronic engineering.
• PLC knowledge desirable but not essential.
• 17th/18th Edition.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems used in FMCG industry.
• Mechanical knowledge desirable but not essential.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery including Baggers, Multi‑heads, conveyors, packaging equipment.
• Good communication skills, and the ability to make decisions on the spot.
