Community Nurse - Felixstowe

Felixstowe Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT) has an opening for a permanent B5 Community Nurse working 37.5 hours per week alongside other Health and Social Care professionals.

The INT consists of district & community nurses, generic workers, community matron, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and Social Care Workers, governed and supported by a Lead Nurse, Lead Therapist, Lead Social Worker and the INT manager.

The role involves providing nursing interventions to housebound residents of Felixstowe and surrounding area, aged 18+ and registered with a Felixstowe GP. We support and encourage people to maintain healthy lifestyles and adopt healthy behaviours in the ageing and live well process.

Conditions covered include long‑term neurological conditions, palliative and end‑of‑life care, diabetes, acute medical episodes, wound care, leg ulcer care, phlebotomy and injections, with a view to preventing admission and supporting early discharge. Many patients have complex needs across physical, mental and social care.

You will need to be a Driver and have access to a car for community‑based work.
