Are you an experienced People Manager who enjoys steering and empowering your team? This role is working for a successful multi-national FMCG, reporting to a European HR Director and managing a small team of 3 for a diverse UK workforce of 450 across manufacturing and commercial teams. This HR Manager role is office-based in the Folkestone location and will be required on site with ad hoc WFH. No travel required. It is a fixed-term maternity contract for 8 months with an ideal start date of 5th January, but flexibility on this.
As an HR Manager, you will:- Manage and ensure the efficient running of the HR function on a day-to-night basis
- Work on allocated projects and reports as requested by the HRD or other senior managers
- Actively utilise and ensure the integrity of data within the HR databases currently Workforce, Workday and hard files at all times
- Manage the recruitment process up to Senior Management level, ensuring the recruitment of the best possible talent to further develop and grow the business.
- Liaise with Occupational Health service to ensure appropriate H&S and welfare considerations are in place and maintained on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures (UK and Corporate), and advise employees on their application
- Establish and build meaningful employment relations with management at all levels to support and facilitate business improvement and people management best practice.
- Work with the HRD in developing and rolling out employee learning and development activities to further develop the UK workforce.
- Work with the HRD as required to deliver actions resulting from compensation & benefits initiatives both local and Corporate.
