Business Intelligence Developer

Description

Our client is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to design, build, and optimize data and reporting solutions that deliver actionable insights and support strategic decision-making across the organization. This role will collaborate closely with business leaders, finance, operations, and technology teams to develop dashboards, reporting frameworks, and scalable data models that improve visibility into key metrics and drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities

+ Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, scorecards, and visualizations.

+ Build and optimize data models, data pipelines, and reporting structures to support business intelligence needs.

+ Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions for reporting and analytics.

+ Partner with cross-functional teams to define KPIs, reporting standards, and data governance practices.

+ Integrate data from multiple systems and sources to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.

+ Perform data validation, testing, and troubleshooting to maintain data integrity and reporting accuracy.

+ Enhance and automate recurring reports and analytics processes to improve efficiency.

+ Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve operational and financial performance through data-driven insights.

+ Create and maintain technical documentation for BI solutions, data definitions, and development processes.

+ Present insights, recommendations, and solution capabilities to stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.

+ Support ad hoc reporting requests and special projects as needed.

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.

+ 5+ years of experience in business intelligence development, data analytics, or reporting.

+ Strong experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, or similar platforms.

+ Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases.

+

Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT development, reporting automation, and data integration.

+ Proficiency with Excel and other data analysis tools.

+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
