We are recruiting qualified and experienced Quality Control Level 2 Inspectors for our team at Kearl Oil Sands, a major oil sands site in Northern Alberta. The role is a safety‑first 14/14 rotation on a 6‑month contract starting in January. Camp accommodations, meals, charter flights from Edmonton and Calgary, and flight allowances are provided.

- Support implementation of multi‑discipline ITPs
- Quality oversight of civil, structural, mechanical & piping disciplines
- Validate work associated with multi‑discipline construction work packages
- Prepare inspection and test plans (ITPs)
- Review subcontractor quality documentation and provide approvals
- Material receiving inspection and verification
- Maintain welder qualification records
- Monitor welding and conduct final weld visual inspection
- Coordinate, monitor and review NDT and reporting
- Verify all NDT completion, release piping for hydro test
- Final piping reinstatement inspection and witness applicable bolt torque
- Experience with weld mapping, redlines and as‑built drawings
- Generate and maintain quality logs, RFC/RFI inquiries
- Hydro‑test package review and test witnessing
- Prepare inspection walk‑down notifications and close‑out punch‑list items
- Develop, review, and complete turnover binder
- Client, vendor, and company quality interfacing, reporting and relationship maintenance
- CWB Level 2 certification with 5+ years of experience
- Strong time‑management skills and ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks
- Excellent MS Office, Google Docs, Bluebeam Revu and cloud‑storage database proficiency
- Self‑motivated, organized, able to work in a high‑pressure deadline‑driven environment
- Understanding of quality inspection procedures, tools, and equipment
- Ability to climb scaffolding, access trenches, and work in variable weather conditions
- Knowledge of ASME, ABSA, CSA codes and client‑standard structure
- Strong knowledge of industrial piping materials: carbon, stainless steel, duplex, alloy, and lined piping
- Experience in a live plant environment, brown/green‑field projects
- Civil, structural, mechanical & piping experience
- Willingness to complete a criminal background check
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
