Collections Relationship Specialist

Build trusted customer relationships at BMO through collections advice, responsive service, and informed payment strategy conversations. Support customers throughout payment processes.

As an Account Specialist, you develop rapport with clients while managing collections-related sales and service activities. You contact customers about applications, payment status, and future payments. You also analyze information, send communications, process transactions, and refer needs to internal business groups.

• Develop rapport and confidence with collections clients
• Maintain long-term relationships and expand share of wallet
• Contact customers regarding applications and payment status
• Probe needs and recommend appropriate collections strategies
• Escalate complex or unresolved situations to managers

• Typically two to three years of relevant experience
• Related post-secondary education or equivalent experience desirable
• Knowledge of competitive marketplace and product trends
• Good organization and collaboration skills
• Good communication skills in verbal and written interactions
