We're recruiting on behalf of a leading UK main contractor with a strong footprint across Scotland. With a growing portfolio of building projects throughout the Highlands, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to support the commercial delivery of major construction schemes.

Our client is a Tier 1 contractor delivering complex projects across:

• Education facilities
• Healthcare developments
• Commercial and mixed-use buildings
• Industrial and manufacturing facilities
• Public sector and community projects
• Refurbishment, extensions and major upgrades

They are widely recognised for high-quality delivery, long-term frameworks and strong project stability.

As Commercial Manager, you will lead the commercial and financial performance of large building projects, ensuring robust contract management and effective commercial governance from pre-construction through to final account.

• Leading commercial strategy and overseeing project financials
• Managing NEC/JCT contract administration
• Subcontract procurement, cost control, valuations and forecasting
• Preparing commercial reports and advising senior leadership
• Managing commercial teams and mentoring junior staff
• Engaging with clients, design teams and supply chain partners
• Contributing to bids and supporting pre-construction activity

We're looking to speak with commercially strong construction professionals who have:

• Commercial Management experience with a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
• Membership of RICS, ICES, or CIOB (or working towards)
• Experience working on building / construction projects with a main contractor
• Strong knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts
• Ability to lead commercial teams and manage large project portfolios
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive and collaborative approach
