Washbay​/Yard Operator Ferguson Transport & Shipping

Ferguson Transport & Shipping is recruiting a Washbay and Yard Operator to join its busy workshop operation in Corpach, Fort William, following internal progression within the team.

This is a practical, hands on role suited to someone reliable, motivated, and comfortable working in an active transport and logistics environment.

As Washbay and Yard Operator, you will be responsible for washing and shunting lorries and trailers in preparation for MOTs, and ensuring the washbay and yard areas are kept safe, clean, and tidy at all times.

Duties also include the collection and delivery of parts as required, refuelling company vehicles, and carrying out general yard and handyperson tasks.

This is a varied role that plays an important part in keeping the operation running smoothly.

This role is available on a full time basis or as a part time job share.

Weekend cover is required, making this role suitable for someone specifically seeking weekend work.

The role is based at Ferguson Transport & Shipping’s Corpach depot in Fort William.

You should be motivated, hard working, and comfortable carrying out physical tasks.

A full driving licence is essential.

Previous experience in a yard, workshop, or transport environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
