DWB/CRGL is a newly merged consulting firm specializing in services and solutions for the resource sector. With a close-knit team, a diverse client base, and a strong reputation for quality and service, the company operates offices throughout British Columbia. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Contaminated Sites & Remediation Manager to lead large-scale contaminated site assessments, remediation, and reclamation projects. This role offers both field and office responsibilities with opportunities to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects.
Job Responsibilities:
The Immediate responsibilities for the Senior Contaminated Sites & Remediation Manager will include:
- Leading and managing comprehensive Phase I, II, and III environmental site assessments for contaminated lands, including groundwater monitoring and risk assessments.
- Overseeing contaminated site remediation planning, implementation, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Managing large area-based remediation, decommissioning, and reclamation projects across British Columbia.
- Collaborating with clients, government agencies, Indigenous groups, and stakeholders for successful project delivery and compliance.
- Supervising, mentoring, and developing multi-disciplinary environmental teams including junior and senior staff.
- Providing technical leadership in the preparation and review of technical reports, remedial designs, work plans, budgets, and proposals.
- Participating in business development by preparing proposals and delivering technical presentations.
- Contributing to health and safety programs, ensuring adherence to occupational safety standards on projects.
Qualifications &
Experience:
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Geosciences, or a related field with a strong focus on contaminated sites and remediation.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in environmental consulting, with emphasis on contaminated site investigation, remediation, and facility decommissioning.
- Licensed Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo) or equivalent certification is required.
- Proven project management skills, including managing complex environmental projects.
- Experience working with regulatory frameworks such as COR Part 1 and 2, Reclamation Certificates, Site Specific Liability Assessments, and environmental permit renewals.
- Strong expertise in stakeholder engagement involving government, Indigenous groups, and private sector clients.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience working in multiple locations and willingness to cross work sites as needed.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $52- $70 per hour; pay will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position comes with a benefits package and is eligible for our RRSP program.
