Position Summary

Financial Support for Moving Expenses is available for this position.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Rehabilitation Services department.

In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization and with professional standards and the code of ethics outlined by the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia, the Physiotherapist works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. Responsibilities include providing physiotherapy services such as assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription, and education of residents/clients/patients ("the client") and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes in inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community settings.

The Physiotherapist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the profession and department; participates in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education; and provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistant working with the rehabilitation team.

Shift Rotation / Hours of Work

Days – 08:00 to 19:12, rotating.

Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre

Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre is a 46‑bed hospital with 115 residential care beds in the adjoining Peace Villa Care Home. It has two state‑of‑the‑art operating rooms, ambulatory clinics (including cancer care and hemodialysis), emergency and ICU, and a birthing centre with single maternity rooms for labour, delivery, and post‑partum.

Qualifications
  • Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.
  • One year of recent related experience.
  • Valid BC Driver's licence where required.

    Demonstrated ability to organize work, set objectives and establish priorities. Manages time and resources, implements activities to promote cooperation among the interdisciplinary team, supervises responsibilities of others, and collaborates across disciplines.
