We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team in Primary Care.

In accordance with Northern Health’s vision of an integrated system of services built on Primary Care, the Primary Care Nurse (PCN) practices according to the standards of professional practice and the code of ethics outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). The PCN functions as part of an interprofessional team, providing competent, safe, and ethical care in settings such as physician practices, homes, schools, and communities.

The PCN provides clinical follow-up based on the person’s primary Care Plan and personal goals, collaborating with the interprofessional team to develop care plans. Responsibilities include direct clinical care and services to individuals, groups, and communities.

Primary Care Networks are partnerships involving BC’s family physicians, regional health authorities, the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), and community providers, working together to redesign BC’s primary and community care system for better patient and provider experiences.
