What You’ll Do
Diagnose and repair commercial transport / transit vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools
Perform preventative maintenance and CVIP inspections (as qualified and authorized)
Operate buses for testing and diagnostics as required
Maintain accurate service records and support parts procurement
Collaborate with fellow technicians and management to meet shop priorities
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
Mentor apprentices and support training and development initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
Journeyperson Commercial Transport Technician (Red Seal)
OR
4th-year registered Commercial Transport Technician apprentice close to ticket completion
We may also consider: AST or Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Red Seal with demonstrated commercial / on-road fleet experience, air brake endorsement, and the ability to meet CVIP regulatory requirements (including inspection sign-off where applicable)
Air Brake endorsement
Demonstrated competency in brakes, steering, suspension
, and preventative maintenance
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with air brake endorsement (maximum 3 demerits)
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and safety-first mindset
CVIP & Compliance
CVIP licence preferred
Candidates without CVIP may be considered if willing and eligible to obtain
, or able to meet regulatory requirements under supervision during onboarding
Bonus Points
Transit, coach, or fleet maintenance experience
Experience with electronic work order / maintenance management systems
Class 1, 2, or 3 licence with air endorsement
What We Offer
Competitive pay:
Journeyperson: $46–$50/hr (based on experience and qualifications)
4th-Year Apprentice:
competitive apprentice rate
