What You'll DoAs an Assistant Miller
, you'll play a key role in supporting flour mill operations, ensuring product quality, maintaining food safety standards, and helping deliver products that meet customer expectations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with daily flour mill operations, flour transfers, and mill changes
- Performing quality analysis, product sampling, and food safety checks
- Supporting equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and routine repairs
- Monitoring wheat cleaning and tempering processes and making adjustments as directed
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and audit-ready work environment
- Following all food safety, GMP, HACCP, OSHA, and sanitation requirements
- Assisting with training Mill Utility personnel
- Serving as backup for the Head Miller or Shift Miller when needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 to 3 years of flour milling, food production, manufacturing, or related experience preferred
- Ability to pass a Respirator Fit Test and perform job duties while wearing a respirator
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and quality

Work Environment Requirements
This position requires standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working around manufacturing equipment. Employees may be exposed to dust, noise, temperature variations, heights, and wheat allergens while working in a fast-paced production environment.
