We’re looking for a Resource Traveling Wind Turbine Technician II to join Vestas. The role is remote, hourly, requires 100% travel across Canada, and offers a sign‑on bonus of $3,300 CAD.
Job OverviewThe Resource Traveling Wind Turbine Technician II supports wind energy operations on multiple sites and projects across Canada. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining wind turbines, performing safety inspections, and supporting construction and installation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, repair, and maintain wind turbines with your team.
- Travel to various sites, collaborate with diverse teams, and manage travel logistics and cost coding.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure a secure working environment.
- Resolve complex problems with effective self‑management.
- Support construction and installation projects, overseeing the full life cycle of turbines.
- At least 6 months with a Wind Technician certificate, or 1 year of wind turbine experience, or 2 years in mechanical or electrical fields.
- Highly developed problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach.
- Safety conscious with a commitment to best practices.
- Able to work well with others and enjoy collaborative environments.
- Physically fit, comfortable working in various conditions and heights.
- Can speak, read and follow instructions in French and English.
- High school diploma (High School Graduate Certificate or equivalent), valid driver’s license, and legal authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship.
