Civil Engineer - Design & Construction

About This Role

As a member of Englobe’s Civil Team, you will collaborate on a variety of projects in the environment, renewable energies, hydroelectricity, transportation, materials, buildings, and climate change markets. • Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules
• Perform field work including investigations, topographic survey and construction inspection
• Prepare and verify compliance with contract drawings and specifications
• Develop and review plans and specifications
• Investigate and gather information and industry standards, proposing new methods and strategies
• Complete quantity and cost estimating
• Create specifications, guidelines and report on study findings
• Design, draft and model a variety of infrastructure scenarios
• Attend meetings and liaise with stakeholders
• Develop proposals and reports
• Project and client management

• Valid class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation
• Diploma in Civil Technology or Degree in Engineering (construction or industry experience considered)
• Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel proficiency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Understanding of construction principles, standard practices and regulations
• Demonstrated sensitivity to occupational health and safety
• Ability to assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands
• Document written forms and express decisions effectively
• Ability to read and interpret standard procedures, applicable rules and regulations

• Prepare a cover letter stating desired work location in Atlantic Canada and availability to relocate within Atlantic Canada
• Ensure education, work experience and dates for each are included
