Senior System Administrator

Senior System Administrator (12 month contract) Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for server infrastructure (Windows, Unix, and virtualized environments)
• Manage patching, updating, and optimization of systems and hypervisors.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and vulnerability.
• Implement automation solutions leveraging scripting knowledge for optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across supported platforms.
• Respond effectively to system alarms and surveillance alerts.
• Contribute to projects involving new deployments, adhering to industry best practices and ITIL standards.
• Produce, revise, and update system documentation and knowledge bases.

• Backup management, managing policies, RPO and RTO
• Implement and manage Windows/Linux environments to ensure high availability
• Develop and administer security policies and procedures
• Manage user authentication and security on the network
• Vulnerability Investigation and Remediation
• Engage with 3rd party vendors on product support issues and escalation procedures
• Certificate Authority Administration experience
• SAN (EMC VNX, Netapp, Power Flex) Data Management, cloud and switched fabric knowledge/ experience
• Experience in the Change Management Process
• Microsoft MCSA or MCSE (preferably Server Infrastructure)

• Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2024 administration experience

• Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure components, networking fundamentals, and system architecture best practices.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Power Shell, Ansible) for automation and system management.

• Cohesity/Net Bakup Hands-on experience with backup technologies and disaster recovery planning.

• Understanding of system hardening, patch management, and compliance standards.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.

Minimum: 5 years

Preferred: 7–10 years
