We are seeking a systems professional to provide system leadership to all entrusted projects and associated products across our Aerospace, Energy, and R&D portfolio, including health monitoring systems for turbines or landing gears. You will collaborate across engineering disciplines and serve as the primary point of contact for customers, leading proposal activities prior to New Product Introduction.
Your Responsibilities- Act as technical lead of projects (New Product or R&D) from proposal until entry in service, coordinating multidisciplinary teams including hardware, software, mechanical and test activities.
- Provide technical expertise to support stakeholders in capturing all internal and external requirements.
- Define product architecture based on quantified trade-offs to present an optimum solution based on appropriate metrics such as recurring costs, interface complexity, HW/SW integration complexity, modularity, etc.
- Contribute to the safety and reliability analysis of electronic systems per relevant standards.
- Produce and maintain the system documentation (specification, configuration) of the products.
- Define and perform the most cost‑effective validation, verification and integration strategy, including production and maintenance of system‑level verification test procedures and definition of test cases in agreement with applicable standards.
- Master or Bachelor degree in Engineering (mechanical, electronics, micro‑engineering, systems engineering or similar).
- At least 5 years’ experience in technical design and/or R&D engineering in industry.
- Working knowledge of embedded electronic systems.
- Experience in system and safety development processes (ARP
4754, ARP‑4761, IEC‑61508) or equivalent. - Customer focus with ability to understand and contextualize stakeholder needs.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills for internal teams and customers.
- Autonomous, adaptable, curious and fast learner.
- Proven decision‑making skills and accountability.
- Availability to travel to customer or supplier facilities worldwide (up to 5%).
- Fluency in English (written and oral) required;
French a plus.
- Experience in CE certifications, including electrical safety IEC
61010. - Working knowledge of piezoelectric and/or optical sensors.
