Position: Cook (Bank)

Cook (Bank) – Hillcrest Care Home

Location:

Manley Road, Frodsham, Cheshire, WA6 6ES

Overview

Join us as a Cook in a caring environment where your culinary skills contribute to the wellbeing of residents. You will prepare meals, maintain hygiene standards, and support the Head Chef in menu planning.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out duties for meal preparations, orders and staff requirements.
  • Prepare special diet meals according to care staff instructions.
  • Ensure a high level of service for all meal times.
  • Complete all documentation relating to HACCP.
  • Report any equipment defects to the Home Manager.
  • Ensure good quality and portion control.
  • Assist Head Chef with monthly menu planning.
  • Perform ad‑hoc duties to meet service delivery for residents.
Qualifications
  • Previous cooking experience is required.
  • Experience in a similar environment is an advantage.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently with creativity and passion.
  • Ability to follow and prioritise tasks and responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in food preparation techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
