Cook (Bank) – Hillcrest Care Home
Location:
Manley Road, Frodsham, Cheshire, WA6 6ES
Join us as a Cook in a caring environment where your culinary skills contribute to the wellbeing of residents. You will prepare meals, maintain hygiene standards, and support the Head Chef in menu planning.
Responsibilities- Carry out duties for meal preparations, orders and staff requirements.
- Prepare special diet meals according to care staff instructions.
- Ensure a high level of service for all meal times.
- Complete all documentation relating to HACCP.
- Report any equipment defects to the Home Manager.
- Ensure good quality and portion control.
- Assist Head Chef with monthly menu planning.
- Perform ad‑hoc duties to meet service delivery for residents.
- Previous cooking experience is required.
- Experience in a similar environment is an advantage.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently with creativity and passion.
- Ability to follow and prioritise tasks and responsibilities.
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Bank contract, flexible working.
- Pay: £12.70 per hour.
- 28 days annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata for part‑time).
