As a Regional Process Scientist, you will work across the business, focusing on providing technical support on chemicals used as part of our treatment processes. This includes training, optimisation and technical support for the operations teams and process scientists.

Working as part of a small team, you will:

What you’ll need

We are seeking a flexible, self‑motivated and practical individual who works well with others across a range of scenarios and is confident undertaking on‑site work independently when required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, enabling them to advise on the safe handling and practical aspects of chemical dosing, along with a solid understanding of wastewater treatment processes and their implications for compliance and operations.

Strong numerical skills are required for calculating dose rates, costs and potential savings, alongside a good understanding of COSHH and safe working practices when working with chemicals.

You should be able to adapt to changing priorities and manage your workload effectively.

In addition, it is desirable to have:

  • IT literacy
  • experience working with budgets
  • experience with optimisation tools such as jar testing/usage
  • experience with company reporting/presenting
  • an understanding of unit conversions and chemical strengths
  • good analytical skills

  • excellent time management for ensuring deadlines are met
  • a chartership
