Indirect Procurement Buyer
Join Our International Client in Felling as an Indirect Procurement Buyer.
In this role, you will lead and drive the buying process for your assigned area, ensuring competitive pricing, optimal service, and quality standards under the best possible terms and conditions. You will also support the implementation of global category strategies and contribute to the development of regional strategies within your geographic responsibility, working closely with the relevant Global or Regional Category Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Source, support and facilitate the acquisition of goods and services.
- Support attainment of procurement goals (saving, cost avoidance, supplier reduction, payment term improvement, catalogue buying, process improvement, sustainability).
- Create and maintain relevant data for seamless execution of the NPR buying process (vendor information, catalogue, approval workflow, risk profile, requisition and order data).
- Ensure all commercial contracts comply with company policy, especially legal requirements, approval & signing authority and contract life management.
- Perform spend analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, payment term harmonisation, contract coverage and catalogue expansion; identify risks such as conflict of interest, split purchase, classification errors and policy non‑compliance.
- Execute S2C process professionally including supplier sourcing, competitive bidding, negotiating, bid analysis & evaluation, award, contracting, progress tracking, payment, risk management, SHE, warranty, service agreement, performance review.
- Interact with multiple stakeholders within the country/cluster to understand challenges and business requirements.
- Resolve operational issues related to P2P promptly, escalating when necessary.
- Educate users on system use (procurement card and catalogue buying) and create awareness of relevant policies, rules and procedures.
- Continuously review and improve processes, demonstrating a continuous improvement mentality.
- Support or lead local projects as assigned.
- Professional procurement accreditation is an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a country purchasing role with an international understanding.
- Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, problem solving, project management, team building.
- Ability to deliver sustainable business results and act as a cultural change ambassador.
- Problem solving – gather and analyze information skillfully and provide solutions in complex situations.
