About the role:

As an I&C Technician, UK ICS, you will be part of the nuclear industry's leading edge. You will utilize your skills and experience in an environment that values excellence.

The Principal I&C Engineer will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing technical guidance and oversight across projects globally. Responsibilities include interpretation of customer requirements, concept development, detailed design, manufacturing support, testing, installation, obsolescence management, and plant life extension on Nuclear Licensed sites.

You will report to the Customer Solutions Manager UK ICS and be based in Gateshead.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage electrical, control, and instrumentation aspects of major projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations aligned with customer specifications, ensuring diligent costing.
  • Generate Front-End Engineering Design packages.
  • Lead projects involving refurbishment and new design of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems, including analogue and digital systems.
  • Possess good knowledge of Power Electronics Circuit Design and Analogue Control Schemes.
  • Create ageing and obsolescence technical review reports for existing systems.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience as an Electrical and/or Control & Instrumentation Engineer, preferably within the Nuclear Industry or a highly regulated industry.
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in leading and developing teams.
  • Proficiency with CAD software for drawings and schematics.
