Since 2001, The Comfrey Project has offered a secure and inclusive environment for individuals who have escaped conflict and persecution. We use horticulture-based activities including gardening, bee-keeping, cooking, crafts and construction with the aim of enhancing their physical and mental health, assisting them in acquiring new skills, and helping them integrate into their new community. The project is led by volunteers, people seeking asylum and refugees living in Northeast England.

• Provide robust underpinning of financial policies, systems and internal controls.

• Experienced and confident financial administrator.

• Annual leave: 32 days / 240 hours per year pro rata (includes 8 bank/public holidays).
• Fixed salary and part-time hours.
