You will join a team of experienced consultants, taking a proactive approach to the delivery of projects and supporting both proactive and reactive support.
Responsibilities include providing high‑quality networking, server and cloud platform support and planning and delivering projects, including Cloud and Hybrid migrations. A hybrid working model is offered, with occasional travel to customer sites. Some 24/7 on‑call cover may be required.
Responsibilities- A varied role that combines the delivery of project migrations with proactive and reactive support
- Planning and delivery of projects, including Cloud and Hybrid migration projects within the Microsoft 365 and Azure space
- Show analytical approach to problem solving, responding to incidents and restoring services to an operational state
- Lead critical incident resolution, including full system outages
- Provide high‑quality networking, server and cloud platform support
- Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and understand complex environments
- Provide clear advice and guidance via pre‑sales to clients for improving their environments
- Be seen as a trusted advisor and communicate to every level within an organisation
- Communicate with 3rd‑party providers, including hardware, service and application vendors, to resolve complex multi‑party issues
- Ensure workload is managed to deliver the service within clearly defined project time‑scales/SLAs
- Ensure accuracy and completion of data entry based on projects, incidents and problems
- Provide some 24/7 on‑call cover
- Possess a well‑rounded skill set including implementation and remote support
- Proven track record of providing project implementations for at least 3 years
- Strong written and excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to migrate and support Windows Server Operating Systems and associated services (e.g., Active Directory, Group Policies, File Services)
- Strong knowledge and practical skills within security best practices across cloud and traditional platforms
- In‑depth understanding of the Microsoft 365 platform and security services
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of Azure Landing Zones, VMs, Firewalls, Backup, vNETs and associated configuration/support
- Knowledge of and ability to monitor and troubleshoot cloud backup technologies
- Good understanding of networking technologies with the ability to troubleshoot end‑to‑end through VLAN, LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN and hosted services
- Good understanding of commercial aspects of project delivery
- Ability to scope and deploy new services in Microsoft 365 or Azure
- Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot Disaster Recovery (DR) technology
- Experience with Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop and virtualised applications or similar
- Experience implementing virtual firewall appliances (e.g., Sophos or Meraki)
- Basic SQL skills including backup, maintenance schedules and high‑level troubleshooting
- MS‑102 – Microsoft 365 Certified:
Administrator Expert - Other industry‑recognised accreditations are beneficial (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, CompTIA)
- Degree or equivalent experience in a technology‑related area
