We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee the delivery of industrial shed new build projects in Gateshead. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of site management experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to coordinate subcontractors, manage programme delivery, and ensure all RAMS and site documentation are compliant and up to date.

Key Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day site operations to ensure safe, efficient and timely delivery of industrial new build projects.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors on site, ensuring quality, productivity, and adherence to project specifications.
- Maintain and manage the construction programme, monitoring progress and mitigating delays where necessary.
- Prepare, review, and implement Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS).
- Conduct daily and weekly site briefings, toolbox talks, and safety checks.
- Ensure full compliance with H&S legislation, company standards, and site procedures.
- Oversee material deliveries, site logistics, and waste management.
- Liaise effectively with clients, design teams, project managers, and inspectors.
- Maintain accurate site documentation including diaries, progress reports, permits, and inspection records.
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and deliver quality results in line with project requirements.
- Minimum 6 years' experience as a Site Manager, ideally within industrial or commercial new build environments.
- Strong background in managing subcontractor teams and site labour.
- Proven ability to manage programmes and keep projects on schedule.
- Solid understanding of construction processes and industrial steel‑frame builds.
- Demonstrable experience creating and managing RAMS and safety documentation.
- SMSTS (essential).
- CSCS Manager's Card (preferred).
- First Aid at Work (preferred).
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Competent IT skills for reporting and documentation.
