Summary:
Truck drivers deliver products and service client equipment Gatineau and Ottawa area. May need to travel to Mississauga (on occasion)
Duties and responsibilities
– Deliver goods with a customer service minded attitude
– Oversee all aspects of vehicles, such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading, and safety and security of cargo
– Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights, brakes and cold storage
– Record cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption and other information in log book
– Communicate with dispatcher and other drivers using two-way radio, or cellular telephone
Qualifications: – One to two years experience in driving 5 ton or other types of delivery vehicles – Must be able to show a good track record of previous employment stability and workplace reliability – Drivers abstract – Clean criminal background check and enhanced security clearance – Superior customer serviceJob responsibilites
