Civil Engineering Works Supervisor; SCE-SAM-CEGRAP

You will contribute to a broad range of activities across two major projects:
Site Consolidation and Long Shutdown 3 within dynamic Civil Engineering sector from Site Asset Management Group.

The role involves close collaboration with engineers technicians and external contractors / consultants ensuring the quality safety and timely delivery of various civil engineering works including construction renovation and maintenance of CERN’s diverse infrastructure.

• Managing and following up on work requests related to concrete metal structures building envelopes roads / networks and other civil works for surface buildings underground structures and technical galleries.
• Launching and monitoring construction and renovation activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Coordinating multiple trades to ensure smooth execution and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Performing regular on-site inspections and ensuring enforcement of CERN’s safety rules.
• Conducting quality control checks and supervising contractors daily activities.
• Verifying the proper execution of works and ensuring compliance with specifications and schedules.
• Managing budgetary aspects: reviewing quotations launching orders and validating contractors final measurements.
• Using CERN’s computer-based tools for project tracking reporting and documentation.

• Execution and / or supervision of structural and building envelope works.
• Maintenance and operation of buildings or civil engineering infrastructures.
• Proven experience in coordinating multi-technical trades.

• You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
• You have a professional background in Civil Engineering (or a related field) and have either:
• a Master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of post‑graduation professional experience;
• or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post‑graduation professional experience.
• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.

• Job closing date : 26.11.2025 at 23 : 59 CET.
• Contract duration : 24 months with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
• Working hours : 40 hours per week.
• Job flexibility :
  Fully Onsite.
• Target start date : 01-January-2026.

• A monthly stipend ranging between 6287 and 6911 Swiss Francs per month (net of tax).
