JOB PURPOSE
Inline with the company strategy the Spa Planning & Purchasing Specialist carries out the forecasting and the procurement and logistics processes to ensure, in the correct time order, availability of stock in the Spas onboard to satisfy the customer demand and to significantly improve the onboard revenue.
KEYACCOUNTABILITIES
- Analyse sales data and place purchase orders for consumable, retail and small equipment orders in line with agreed item life cycle;
- Ensure that stock needs on-board each ship are met in terms of quality and quantity, time, and location relevant to ship and area of operation;
- Liaise with suppliers, accounting, and ships to enhance supply chain process and avoid invoicing issues;
- Ensure that stock levels are in line with sell through, projected customer demand and consumption levels at all times and, proactively proposes to the Spa Purchasing Manager and Head of Spa corrective actions if needed;
- Informs Spa Purchasing Manager and Head of Spa of stock excess, slow movers and obsoletes;
- Inform ships about upcoming deliveries in line with communication guidelines;
- Follow up delivery from provider to Ship;
- Ensure agencies have provided the customs documents for delivery;
- Solve incidents of loading and price verification with the ship and the provider;
- Create articles into the system using the correct data from supplier, and ensure that missing or incorrect data is actively corrected;
- Organizes and co-ordinates stock transfers, landing manifests and return to vendors;
- Sets prices on system;
- Ensure correct administration of all the data in the database.
- Fluent English, Italian is a plus;
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Business Economics, Supply Chain, Procurement or similar;
- Excellent knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of most common Business Intelligence packages is an advantage;
