Technical Lead - Java

For one of our clients in Geneva, we are currently looking for a Java Technical Lead who will join our client for a long-term opportunity!

The technical lead will work very closely with the Product / Solution Owner and a cross-functional team of developers and architects. They will participate in the overall strategy, analysis, design, and implementation of our client's Sales solutions and strategic e-commerce solutions, ensuring full adherence to standards and needs.

You will work in a global environment with highly distributed teams across different countries and time zones, at various management levels.

Activities

• Provide technical expertise on Products / Solutions within your scope
• Support the development team in resolving complex issues
• Ensure that technical specifications are maintained and up-to-date
• Collaborate with the Dev Ops team to automate integration processes (such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment)
• Provide technical expertise with a broad set of development tools and technologies
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Developers, Scrum Masters, Architects, etc.)
• Collaborate with peers from other Product Groups or Shared Services to deliver the program
• Focus on quality: deliver on time, within budget, and beyond expectations
• Identify and manage risks, define mitigation plans, and escalate as necessary
• Apply guidelines, frameworks, and best practices defined by Communities of Practice
• Support the Product Owner, Project Manager, and Program Manager in estimating efforts, identifying risks, and defining corrective actions

Required profile

• 5+ years of proven experience in a similar role
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with high attention to detail
• Experience in delivering integration projects from initial study to production stabilization
• Experience in software architecture and the software development lifecycle
• Experience working with nearshore/offshore teams
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as APIs, microservices, Cloud hosting, OMS, CRM Salesforce platform, ERP SAP
• Experience in e-Commerce projects is a plus
• Proficiency with Atlassian suite:
  Confluence, Jira
• Experience interacting with stakeholders in project or matrix organizations
• Fluent in English and French; additional languages like Italian or Chinese are a plus
• Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced, distributed environment with high expectations
• Expertise in Java Platform using Open Source Frameworks
• Expertise in front-end technologies, especially Angular
• Expert in designing REST APIs for internal and external clients
• Expertise in Microservice architecture, design, and implementation
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes solutions
• Knowledge of securing web applications using OAuth2 and OIDC
• Experience developing with MySQL and MongoDB
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, frameworks, and ceremonies (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.)
• Expertise in Design Patterns, Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP), and Domain Driven Design (DDD)
