The Position

The Project Site Manager line management will be through GCS operations EMEA and functional reporting will be to the Project Manager Integrated Projects located in the HQ

Project Management Team Member:
Active participation and collaboration as part of the Integrated Projects Project Management Team (PMT)

Act as deputy Project Manager if and when required

Place of work: preferred location is in Genoa - Liguria other kind of location will be anyhow evaluated

Objectives

Provide effective day-to-day site management for Kongsberg Maritime delivery of integrated projects at the yard

Develop monitor and coordinate integrated project installation and commissioning plans ensuring tasks and deliverables are well-defined sequenced and resourced (with commitments provided from work packages)

Oversee all on-site activities on behalf of the integrated project to ensure compliance with project plans requirements and safety standards

Act as the primary Kongsberg Maritime point of contact for on-site activities during installation commissioning and trials

Drive successful execution of installation and commissioning of KM equipment in accordance with schedule requirements and commitments

Expectations:
Technical Solution

Installation Assistance:
Responsible for providing support for installation of KM equipment during building / outfitting period of vessel

Commissioning Assistance:
Offer technical support during commissioning of vessel

Adherence to Scope:
Manage all site activities in integrated projects according to scope. Responsible for monitoring sub-suppliers performance during the build as applicable

Change Management:
Provide expertise related to installation & commissioning plans and activities to support and address management of change through variation orders technical clarifications / queries and other challenges to secure success of the project

Planning and Control

On-time Delivery:
Responsible for establishing monitoring maintaining and coordinating integrated project installation & commissioning plans. Responsible for providing input to Yards overall production plan and commissioning plan on behalf of the KM Integrated Project

Work Breakdown Structure:
Responsible for ensuring commitment on plans and resources from the work packages

Installation Support on-time:
Responsible for coordinating and ensuring support for installation of KM equipment during building / outfitting period of vessel

Pre-commissioning Support:
Responsible for pre-commissioning activities at Yard and follow-up of Mechanical Completion forms

Commissioning Support:
Responsible for providing coordination and support during commissioning phase and sea trials

Site Personnel Coordination:
Responsible for coordination of all KM installation & commissioning personnel.

Non-conformity:
Accountable for maintaining and following up open point list / punch lists during the build

Progress Reporting:
Assist PM in internal and external reporting as required

Verification & Validation:
Responsible for solution / system verification test is performed in integrated projects and when applicable

Budget:
Responsible for control of the total installation & commissioning budget specifically for installation & commissioning hours and to report to the Project Manager on a regular basis on the actuals and estimate to complete versus budget. This includes coordination with all relevant work packages to ensure the work packages provide updated status (actuals and estimates to complete) on their part of the installation & commissioning scope of work

Risk:
Provide expertise related to installation & commissioning plans and activities to support and address project risk management to secure success of the project

QHSE:
Support project QHSE manager through follow-up of HSE forms and issues towards Yard

Key Experiences and Qualifications

Electrotechnical University degree or comparable

Electrotechnical expertise and knowledge in the field of shipbuilding

Solid background in automation drive control propulsion

Good Project Management Skills

Good IT skills

Strong verbal communication and written reporting skills in English and Italian language

High degree of personal responsibility

Confident appearance ability to work in a team and high motivation

A good tolerance for managing pressure / stressful situations

Fluent English language is required
