Description
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self‑motivated Software Engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks. The developments cover the railways applications. The position is based in Genoa, IT.
Accountabilities
Detailed requirements definition for software components / systems
Design and implementation of software components
Verification and testing of developed software
Release and support of delivered software components
Required Skills/ Knowledge
Knowledge of software development methodologies (agile methodologies, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Dev Ops, …)
Object Oriented Design and Programming
Knowledge of the following programming languages:
JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Java, RUST
Knowledge of Linux operating system
From 3 up to 5 years of experience
Desired Skills/ Knowledge
Knowledge of containerization technologies, specifically Docker
Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, Oracle, Redis, Mongo
DB)
Knowledge of Railway Traffic Management domain
Ability to work in a team environment
Education / Qualifications
Master’s degree / bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Computer Science)
Languages
Good Knowledge of English (written & spoken)
