MET Technician Ford

Allen Motor Group are currently looking to recruit a MET Technician to join our Ford dealership in Gillingham.

This position is offered on a full-time working contract of 45 hours a week Monday – Friday, paying up to £36,000 with and an OTE of £48,000 reporting to the Bodyshop Manager.

As an MET technician you’ll have some key tasks and activities within your area of responsibility:

• Diagnosing, testing, stripping, re-building and repairing motor vehicles.
• Investigating, reporting and advising on vehicle and component repair ability.
• Carrying out repair operations to agreed methods and standards, working to times and standards as directed by Insurance company guidelines, Manufacturer’s standards, BSI standards and or AMG policy.
• Interpreting and applying technical service and repair data and thoroughly reading all vehicle repair literature and updates supplied.

To be considered for the position you will need to possess a relevant formal qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ Level
3) as a minimum. We are looking for individuals who possess the following attributes & skills:

• A full UK driving licence
• Experience of inspection & repair of automotive vehicles (car or van)
• Fantastic verbal and written English skills
• Previous experience working in a franchised dealership (preferred but not essential)
