Maintenance Surveyor

Location: Glasgow (Central and West Scotland, PA, G, ML postcodes)
Base pay range: £37,100 - £39,052 per year
Hours: 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00
Responsibilities- Undertaking the scoping, specification and management of refurbishment projects for internal and external clients, ensuring that work is delivered to the highest quality, within agreed budgets and timescales
- Undertaking pre, interim and post quality assurance inspections to works delivered by both internal teams and external contractors ensuring a high standard is maintained at all times
- Carrying out property inspections and surveys in line with policies and procedures, to ensure Health and Safety, regulatory compliance and contract performance
- Managing budgets within agreed financial limits and in accordance with the organisation’s financial policies and procedures
- Maintaining accurate records and managing documentation for work specifications and quotations to enable specific maintenance problems and issues be resolved
- Assisting in the coordination, communication and maintenance of relationships with internal and external customers, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring they are dealt with appropriately
- Managing external contractors to ensure maintenance work is carried out in accordance with contract specifications and programmes
- To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates must be qualified to Assoc
RIC, MRICS, CIOB, Degree, HND or HNC in Surveying or Construction or currently undertaking the qualification. Candidates must bring original certifications; copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted. - Previous experience working within domestic social housing is a requirement
- Proven experience managing small to medium scale refurbishment projects
- Proven experience working with others to deliver maintenance related works, including indirect reports and third party suppliers
- This role involves driving on company business; drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

- Role salary is £32,244 with an additional policy allowance of £4,855 per annum (rising to £33,941 with an additional policy allowance of £5,111 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
