This is a full‑time, permanent post. The shift pattern is 40 hours plus on‑call.
Applications are invited for a substantive Consultant in General Medicine with an interest in Rheumatology and Mineral Metabolism to work at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Stobhill Ambulatory Care Hospital.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide a full range of consultant services as agreed with clinical and management colleagues, including in‑patient and out‑patient work.
- Conduct new and return clinics both in‑patient and out‑patient, including combined clinics.
- Contribute to acute medical receiving, consultant on‑call rota, and downstream ward cover at weekends.
- Participate in teaching and develop a research portfolio.
Qualifications and eligibility:
- Full GMC registration and licence to practice.
- UK trained candidates should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within 6 months from the interview date.
- Non‑UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
