Applications are invited for this substantive Consultant position, which has arisen from the development of Rheumatology & General Medicine services at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Successful candidates will be expected to provide a full range of consultant services, working closely with colleagues across in‑patient and out‑patient settings.
Shift pattern: 40 hours per week over 7 days, with an on‑call commitment. Out‑of‑hours and weekend on‑call will be 1 in 8, covering Acute Receiving areas within QEUH.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing inpatient care to General Medical and Rheumatology patients.
- Participating in outpatient activity at QEUH and New Victoria Hospital sites.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver care for a range of rheumatology conditions.
- Managing SPA time for audit, clinical governance, teaching, research, and appraisal activities.
