Senior Clinical Fellow in Neonatology – STor ; ST

Contract type: Fixed term post for 6 months

Post: Senior Clinical Fellow posts in Neonatology at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow & The Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley at ST4 equivalent training level or above. Posts are available from 4 February 2026 for 6 months.

Training opportunities: These posts mirror the training opportunities of trainees undertaking run‑through training in paediatrics.

• Second on duties in Neonatology on the middle grade rota with support from experienced ANNPs and resident Consultant Neonatologists.
• Provide clinical care aligned with paediatric neonatal standards, including admission, assessment, treatment and discharge of neonatal patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Availability: Wed 4 February 2026 – Tue 4 August 2026.

Start date: Negotiable, but the end date of 1 April 2025 cannot be changed.

Applicants who have not undertaken a UK foundation programme within 3.5 years of the advertised post start date will be asked to submit a Certificate of Readiness to Enter Specialty Training (CREST). The CREST form must be completed by a consultant who has worked with you for a minimum continuous period of three months whole‑time equivalent wholly within the 3.5 years prior to the advertised post start date.
