Senior Cloud Data Platform Engineer – Barclays – Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom
Build and maintain systems that collect, store, process, and evaluate data—such as data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes—to ensure all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain data architectures and pipelines enabling the transfer and processing of durable, complete, and consistent data.
- Design and implement data warehouses and data lakes managing appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhering to required security measures.
- Develop processing and analysis algorithms fit for intended data complexity and volumes.
- Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Data engineering expertise (Airflow/DBT, Spark).
- Dev Sec Ops practices.
- Highly valued skills:
Terraform, Python/Java, data engineering in AWS/Azure, Snowflake/Databricks.
