The role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join the dynamic team in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, from concept through to completion. You will lead on technical delivery, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the design and management of civil engineering projects including infrastructure, drainage, highways, and earthworks.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams.

  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to ensure successful project outcomes.

  • Mentor and support the development of graduate and junior engineers.

  • Contribute to business development and help strengthen their reputation in the industry.

About you

We’re looking for someone who brings both technical excellence and leadership skills.

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it.

  • Proven experience in civil engineering design and project management.

  • Strong knowledge of UK design standards, regulations, and approvals processes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
