FAIR Engineer - Outside IR35

FAIR Engineer (AS9102) - 6 Month Contract - Glasgow (On-site - 4 day week) Outside IR35 | £32-£37 per hour | Weekly Pay

A well-established aerospace subcontractor in Glasgow is looking for an experienced FAIR Engineer to support increased workload on a 6-month contract. This is an on-site requirement and is Outside IR35, offering weekly pay.

You'll be responsible for producing and maintaining First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in line with AS9102, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate and ready for customer submission.

• Create, compile and review FAIR packs to AS9102
• Interpret engineering drawings, specs, route cards and inspection results
• Work with Quality/Engineering/Production to close out issues and drive corrections
• Support investigations and documentation around non-conformances
• Maintain strong traceability across components, materials and processes
• Assist with customer/source inspection activity where required

• Proven experience completing FAIRs / First Article Inspection Reports within aerospace manufacturing/subcontract
• Strong knowledge of AS9102 (and general aerospace quality standards)
• Confident interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T and tolerances
• High attention to detail and able to work to deadlines
• Experience using quality systems (e.g. Q-Pulse, Net-Inspect or similar) is beneficial
